Message from LSE CU

Dear all,

Thank you for your prayers for the mission week at LSE. I'd like to give you a little update on how it went. We had a great turn out for the jazz night and many people said how much they enjoyed the event. Three out of five of our lunchtime talks were well attended by non-Christians. Last week we started following up the conversations we had with those interested and hope to be able to meet up with people regualarly to talk about Jesus. There was quite a lot of interest from Muslims expecially, so please do pray that we're able to reach out to them sensitively and effectively. Finally we held a ball last Friday, which was a great success! Out of the sixty or so who came, over half were non-Christians so praise God for that! It was a lovely evening and our speaker presented the gospel in a very clear and relevant way.

We are already planning for the next JAW and are excited about the various other things we're doing, for example surveying non-Christians on a regular basis on campus and using the small groups to reach out to students in halls. We would really appreciate your prayers! Here are some prayer points:

- Pray that the CU continues to be excited about evangelism and making Christ known to LSE students
- Pray for following up with non-Christians we met during JAW, that we may be able to lead people to Christ
- Pray that God would inspire the vision for the year ahead as the committee plan for this year's events and activities
- Pray that we'd contiunue to build one another up in the CU and would be seen to be a strong, untied group on campus, standing up for Jesus
- Pray for funding as we are lacking finances

Thanks again for your prayers and support!

Much love,
Helen
