Jesus Awareness Week Prayer Requests

Hey friends,

My name is Helen and I'm the new LSE CU chair. It is a great encouragement to know that there are LSE graduates who want to support us through prayer. This is a very exciting time for the CU as the new committee have just stepped in and we are preparing for our mission week next week. We have many prayer requests!

The basic plan for mission week is as follows:

Lunchtime talks everyday:

Monday - Is the Bible the infallible word of God?
Tuesday - Big Grill (opportunity to ask Christians tough questions)
Wednesday - Jesus - Son of Man or Son of God?
Thursday - Where is God in a world of suffering?
Friday - Don't all religions lead to the same God?

We are also holding a jazz night to launch mission week on Monday evening. The week will also be followed by a ball on Friday 9th Feb, where a speaker will give a talk presenting the gospel.

We're really excited about next week as we see how God is bringing things together, particularly with his provision of a great venue and catering for the ball. We are encouraging the whole CU to carry out belief surveys throughout the week also and hope that this will give us a way into spiritual conversations with students who are seeking the truth.

We would love it if you could pray:

- that the whole CU would get excited about mission week and evangelism
- for boldness and opportunities to personally invite as many people as possible to next week's events
- for people with open and searching hearts to find out about the events and come along to them. Pray for them to encounter God in a life-changing way.
- for the practical logistics for each event (publicising it, the smooth running of each event etc)
- that God would provide the funds needed, bigger rooms for 2 of the lunchtime talks and the right entertainment for the ball.
- protection from spiritual opposition.

Your prayers are so much appreciated!

Best wishes,

Helen
