LSE CU Mission Week

Hello all!

I have been in touch with the LSE CU. They have their annual Mission Week next week (30th Jan - 3rd Feb) and it would be wonderful if we could all pray for them. I am sure you can remember how this can be the scariest, but also the most encouraging week of the year. Below are some prayer points they sent to me:

-pray that God would prepare the way ahead of us and lead the way, that JAW be God/spirit led and not people led

-pray for softening of hearts, interest of people, that we can reach people in school - 100% God plus 100% man for best results

-pray for boldness in the CU and a united involved group of Christians who are bold to invite pre-believers. To do both cold contact and invite friends to the events, claim salvations

-pray for favour with the people we are working with, for publicity, bookings, provision of food, speakers

-pray blessing over speakers, to be mouth pieces of God and not just speak of intellectual theological debate, but the inspired word of the Lord, pray for protection over their health

-pray against any attack of the devil for the devil strikes when we are most threatening to him.

-claim his harvest, for the word says that the harvest is plenty but the workers are few. As we come together as a CU to work in the fields, may the harvest be plentiful.

-pray for financial provision, through the service auction, the appeal to SU etc.

-pray that we spread the gospel in love and not impose upon others, that God may grant us the wisdom to answer questions tactfully, yet be assertive of our faith.

"be wise in the way you act towards outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone." Colossians 4:6
